A 40s Big Band Dance

Saturday 9th October

2010 marks the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and where better to celebrate "our finest hour" than in Witham's Public Hall, home to many dances throughout the war years? Helping to recreate the period feel will be the ever-popular Jeff Short 16 piece big band who will be playing all the best-known tunes from the 1940s. And if you want to really get 'in the mood' why not come in suitable 40s costume? It's not compulsory but it does add to the atmosphere.

These events tend to sell out very quickly so make sure you get your ticket order in early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are priced at £16 and £14 and can be booked by clicking here, by phone on 01621 892404 or by emailing Tickets@WithamDramatic.co.uk .

There will be a licensed bar but you are welcome to bring your own food. There will also be a raffle run by the Witham Lions Club in aid of local charities. Doors open at 7.30pm with the band on stage from 8.00 to 11.30pm.
